SOME RAMBLINGS BEFORE ST. PETE’S
I've just returned from a nice week away in Costa Rica with my wife and kids. It's our traditional March Break, where we escape the last few blasts of winter, having tired of the snow and ice sports that are always so much fun in December and January. For the past decade or so we've journeyed south to the Caribbean, trying a different island each year. But we thought it'd be fun to go a little further afield and settled on the Pacific coast of Central America, in the little village of Quepos.

CHILDREN’S TUMOR FOUNDATION ENJOYS SUCCESSFUL FIRST RACE WITH C360R
Charity Builds on Successful Racing4Research Program at Miami-Homestead
(Homestead, FL) -- It's a magical moment when you see a child's eyes light up with excitement in a moment of wonder. It's even more special when that moment is shared with a child that is battling a serious illness. That moment is a brief respite from a world filled with doctors, tests, and the desire to just be a "normal kid."
At Homestead-Miami Speedway this past weekend, the Children's Tumor Foundation hosted a number of families with children living with neurofibromatosis (NF) as the latest of Racing4Research's fundraising efforts. It was the kick-off weekend of a full-season program with 2009 and 2010 Grand-Am champions Compass360 Racing, and by all accounts it was a tremendous success.

SOME RAMBLINGS BEFORE HOMESTEAD
By Karl Thomson
The shop's been a flurry of activity since we returned from Daytona a month ago. For the first time in three years, all four cars had to visit the body shop after a single race. Other than the damage to 76, which suffered a pretty hard front-end hit, it wasn't too bad, but it does underscore how physical the Grand-Am series has become. There always seems to be a little more contact at Daytona; I put that down to everyone being overly excited coming off the Christmas break. Hopefully the bodywork will stay intact from here on out.
