Continue ReadingThe biggest Grand-Am fans on the planet spent their entire radio broadcast chatting with C360R pilot Ryan Eversley, reviewing last weekend's race at Trois-Rivieres, musing about how Rookie of the Year points are scored, and a host of other topics. Nice footage from the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race at Trois-Rivieres, courtesy of Grand-Am. Lots of shots of our orange Hondas, including 1) Lutz getting taken out on lap one, 2) Thilenius babying the brakes, 3) the Theetge car expiring with a broken gearbox, and 4) Sweeney and Liefooghe bringing #77 home in sixth, their best result of the season...
The Trois-Rivieres event is arguably one of the most exciting events on the Grand-Am schedule. It's a tight, twisty and unforgiving track, and is attended by some of the most enthusiastic road racing fans on the continent. The town shuts down for a huge party with fireworks and great good and entertainment, and it certainly doesn't hurt that this riverside village seems to be host to some of the most beautiful women anywhere.

Unfortunately, the car behind wasn't expecting him to have to brake so early (yes, we really do have to be that easy on the brakes!), and the result is captured in the video above. Zach and his co-driver Ryan Eversley look locked into P3 in the championship, and are still fighting for second place with the team-car #74 of David Thilenius and Lawson Aschenbach.
