Canadian Touring Car's ongoing series of weekend reviews focused on the battle between Touring-class leader Anthony Rapone and Karl Thomson, both drivers for the Durabond/Compass360 Racing team. It's good fun in a campy "Good, Bad and The Ugly" (the latter which Thomson managed to provide by crashing in race one after losing his brakes), and highlights the great teamwork our guys bring every single weekend.

Have a look at the weekend wrap-up from the Castrol Canadian Touring Car races at the Toronto Indy, including some nice footage of Karl Thomson's wreck at the end of the back straight. Team mate Anthony Rapone managed to take a solid second place in the Sunday race, with Thomson having a great run from the back of the pack up to fifth. Thanks to the kindness of team mate and driver of the #73 car, Thomas McGregor, who gave up his seat on Sunday, Karl was able score valuable championship points in what is going to be a very tight battle for the top three spots.
Our Canadian Touring Car squad had a strong weekend at Circuit ICAR in Montreal, with Anthony Rapone taking pole in qualifying and winning race one on Saturday and Karl Thomson in second. Thomson followed that up with a win on Sunday, with Rapone in second. Rapone extends his championship lead (to 703) while Thomson moves up to second (with 637). Andrew Danyliw finished fifth in both races and is sixth overall (535). The result marks our third straight weekend of double-podiums in the series, and our 13th straight podium between our Grand-Am and Canadian teams.
